(Tallahassee, FL – December 18, 2024) – Today, TLH Reckoning announced the addition of Florida State University (FSU) Women’s Soccer staff member, Sarah Brown, to their coaching ensemble.
Brown has trained and been mentored by some of the best in the women’s game, including Mark Kirkorian and Hue Menzies and she brings an impressive resume to TLH Reckoning. Brown played collegiately at Rollins College, coached for the dominant Elite Club National League (ECNL) club Florida Kraze Krush (FKK), and assisted with the Jamaican Women’s National Team during the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. She currently works as an analyst for U.S. Soccer’s Youth National Teams. Finally, Brown is part of the elite and exclusive ‘30 under 30’ program with United Soccer Coaches.
“I am super excited for the opportunity to work with TLH Reckoning as I am able to grow as an analyst, coach, and person,” said Sarah Brown.
Brown will assist TLH Reckoning in several aspects as the club continues to grow. She will work alongside the technical staff in developing the girls pathway from youth to professional soccer program through the likes of training and video sessions. Brown will also take on supporting TLH Reckoning W League and Reserves teams during their second season this summer.
“Sarah Brown is a remarkable addition to the TLH Reckoning family. Her experience at every level of the game—from elite club soccer to the international stage—brings invaluable insight to our organization, and benefit to our players,” stated Izzy Cotto, TLH Reckoning Sporting Director. “Sarah’s passion and her analytical expertise will significantly enhance our mission to build a robust girls’ pathway to professional soccer. We are thrilled to have her join us as we continue to elevate the game in Tallahassee and beyond.”
Leading with an impact-driven, player-centered, community-fueled mission, TLH Reckoning is Tallahassee’s first-ever women’s pre-professional club in the city’s 200 year history. Last weekend, TLH Reckoning concluded their first annual Free Community Soccer Clinic and the first-ever Professional Player Pathway ID Clinic with the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) 2023 Champions, Gotham FC.
“Sarah is a very exciting addition for us. She brings such credible first-hand experience as an athlete, coach, and administrator,” said Dr. Ashlee Fontes, TLH Reckoning Founder. She will be a great resource for our players because she has walked the path they are striving to achieve; and she will be an incredible asset to our club because of her continued expertise and understanding of the women’s game.”
TLH Reckoning’s W League season will kick off in May of 2025 at ‘The Nest’, Gene Cox Stadium. Season Ticket Memberships are available now at www.tlhreckoning.com/season-ticket-memberships/. TLH Reckoning is funded by sponsorships, donations and memberships, which gets directly invested in the players and reinvested into the community. About TLH Reckoning: Tallahassee (TLH) Reckoning is the first of its kind women’s soccer franchise emerging in Tallahassee’s 200 year history. TLH Reckoning’s pre-professional team and reserves team played their inaugural seasons in the summer of 2024, with both teams competing in the USL W League and USL Academy respectively. TLH Reckoning is the only path2pro girls’ player development center in the region, offering training and development year round. Breaking geographic and institutional barriers the Reckoning is owned and operated by one of the most successful architects of the modern women’s game across the nation – former United Soccer Coaches President, co-founder of the Girls Academy league, Washington Spirit founding executive, FSU women’s soccer and W League alum; a female minority and a fierce advocate for girls and women in soccer.
